I got a horrible call today. A good friend of mine who built, and repaired
guitars here in Oklahoma city passed away suddenly from a heart attack.
He
was my age (28), and he is survived by his wife Leah and his very young
daughter Parker (she is about 1-2 years old). He was one of the best
repairmen in Oklahoma, and he also built really awesome electric bass
guitars and even upright bass guitars.

For those in the OKC area wishing to attend his memorial service it is at
2pm Tuesday at Choctaw road baptist church.

Here is a couple pics of his work:

Oh man, I'm sorry, John. John, that's the same way my dad passed away.
I know you will anyway, but take time for yourself and for his family. Be
there for each other to help recover and honor him. I'll be praying for
that everyone will be able to find peace.

John,

Very sad news.....

Also being from the Oklhoma City area; I wish I had the oportunuty to have known him.

That bass is beautiful and we have many talented guitar repair people here including Don Teeter so that is high praise in deed.

28 way too young.

My prayers are with you and his family during this time.

yeah..Don does not really do any work anymore, but he is the only guy
locally that I would consider better than Justin was, but no one else was
nearly as good/skilled as Justin was. He was a good man, and a loving
father and he will be dearly missed.

Oh man, that is terrible news. I cannot imagine the pain his wife must be
going thru right now. I do hope she will have the support of friends and
family.

I will be on my knees in prayer very shortly for the family.

John, please send them our love - even though we've never met them - it
is very much there.
